2016 GCSE exam results 
The following information is taken from the DFE. This is described as unvalidated and for this school will not include over 90 remarks and a number of qualifications which were missed by the DfE. The validated data will show progress 8 and attainment 8 scores improve.

The following information 

'Progress 8' score  

Progress 8 tells us how well students at this school have progressed between the end of primary school (key stage 2) and the end of secondary school (key stage 4), compared to students in other schools who got similar results at the end of primary school.     


'Attainment 8' score 

Schools get a score based on how well students have performed in up to 8 qualifications, which include English, Maths, 3 qualifications including Sciences, Computer Science, History, Geography and languages, and 3 other additional qualifications     

English and Maths GCSEs 

Students achieving a grade C or better in both English and Maths GCSEs.    

Students 'achieving' the 'English Baccalaureate' 

The English Baccalaureate is not a test or qualification. A student is considered to have ‘achieved’ the English Baccalaureate if they got a grade C or better in the following subjects: English, Maths, Sciences, a language and either History or Geography.   

Student destinations

The percentage of students who move on to further education or employment after 16-18 study.

Headline figures are in line with the outstanding GCSE results in 2015. The students’ dedication and hard work has definitely paid off, with another excellent set of examination results for the academy.
