School Experience Programme

One of the best ways to find out if a career in teaching is right for you is to spend some time in a classroom and speak to experienced teachers and school staff.

The School Experience Programme (SEP) has been developed by the Teaching Agency to allow you to gain classroom experience in secondary schools.

If you would like to engage with this programme with the TVTSA you can apply to attend one of our Open Days please email us. We have days available in both primary and secondary schools.

Why apply through the School Experience Programme?

The advantage of applying for the open day through the SEP is that during the ITT open day we will be able to discuss you attending up to ten additional days in school to build up your experience within a school.

You will need to register with the Teaching Agency, if you have not already done so, before you can apply for the SEP.

You will need to either have a degree or be in the final year of studying for your degree.
